功夫（张壮饰）是少林寺里的天才少年，他为了能获得继承“南平拳”的资格而勤学苦练。功夫虽然年纪小，本领却不小，那些又高又大的同门师兄接二连三地败在他手下。师傅告诉他，只有打败最后的敌人才能得到真传，然而这个敌人并不在中国。师傅发出一记绝招，把功夫打上半空，打出了国境。功夫摔在日本东京的小街上，遇见了经营中国餐馆的太极拳高手阿泉（泉品子饰）。阿泉收留了他，功夫一边在餐馆打工一边寻找目标。师傅曾经说过：“戴在你手腕上的铃铛会告诉你谁是最后的敌人。”功夫施展少林拳术救了阿泉的孙女丽子（藤本七海饰），他顺势假扮成丽子的弟弟跟着去了学校。同学和老师们都很喜欢功夫，他一下子成了班上的红人。一天，阴谋统治全日本的“黑暗文部省”安排黑暗女老师（佐田真由美饰）和三个打手混进了学校。这帮坏人和校长（笹野高史饰）一起用游戏软件给学生们洗脑，让他们放弃学业变成没有前途的坏孩子。唯一没被洗脑的丽子则被黑暗文部大臣（西村雅彦饰）抓走了。获悉丽子有难后，功夫拔腿赶往学校。他在朋友们的帮助下，打倒了一个又一个强敌，终于来到黑暗文部大臣的藏身之处。突然，手腕上的“封印之铃”发出了响声，最后的敌人就在眼前！
